Farmstay Local Foods
Only a few years ago, the village the farmstay is in was a cashless society with very little to none in the way of expendable incomes. For this reason, selling food is a fairly new idea being undertaken by some entrepreneurial members of the community. There are a few local options within walking and easy cycling distance. The Farmstay Marina
A bit of a hit n miss local affair as if the owners are out farming, there is no one to serve you. When they are at home, and operating they do roast a magical chicken.
A great ½ day excursion for the traveller who isn’t in a hurry to see Vietnam.
Be prepared though, it is a very farm to table affair and they start catching the chickens at the time of ordering. A great swimming spot on the river in front of the Farmstay, with Kayaks to entertain yourself while you wait if you do manage to order some food or a cold drink.
